# Grading in Gainesville, FL

[Website](https://gainesvillebushhogging.com/services/grading/)

Once the brush is gone, the ground may still need work. We cut high spots, spread suitable soil and fill agreed low areas to shape access routes and rough grades around your plan.

- Shape already-cleared ground to agreed elevations.
- Spread suitable material and plan where water will go.
- Define fill, compaction and finish before moving soil.

## How We Shape the Ground

We start with your elevations and drainage plan. A compact track loader with a grading attachment, dozer or other suitable machine cuts and spreads soil. Fill type, compaction and the final surface are agreed up front. An engineered building pad needs its own specifications and checks.

## Sandy Uplands and Wetter Ground

Ground conditions vary around Gainesville. Some upland soils have deep sandy layers, while lower flatwoods can stay seasonally wet. Some soils also have a slower-draining subsoil. We check slopes, drainage and the planned use before grading. Fill quality and compaction matter if the next step is construction.

## Pricing

Starting at $2,500 per project. Final pricing depends on access, vegetation, ground conditions and the agreed work.
